Unmistakably Chanel... Pre-Spring 2014
Perfect and beautiful for spring/summer. However, nothing about this black dress is seasonal. This is the kind of a dress that will look relevant in any season.

My Wish List.... Prada Fall/Winter 2013/14
This whole look is on my wish list. I love all about it: proportions, color combination, textures, and slightly undone vibe that comes from this look. I find that perfection can be boring. To me, this look is as exciting as an ocean breeze, and what can be better than that?

Theme Neo Minimal... Fashion for Fall 2013
I realize that it is too early to think about fashion for fall 2013. However, fall 2013-2014 collections had so many ideas that I enjoyed watching, I could not wait to share this with you.
Neo Minimal theme- the beauty of clean lines, very specific shapes, simple and beautiful colors. This minimal style requires really fine tailoring, excellent fabrics and simple but beautiful colors, because every detail stand out and becomes very visible. I like contrasts and with this simple style, when it is done right, I can easily accentuate whatever I want, whether it is my accessories or beautiful red lips.
Check out on my picks and let me know what you think.

1980's "Shoulders"Are Back!
Some people maybe excited, some not really, but those well defined shoulders on ladies jackets are coming back. Look at the images via Vogue Italia Personally, I still do not know how I feel about it and have some mixed feelings. However, I have to admit, this silhouette, at least, makes anybody's hips and waist look much smaller. Maybe by the next spring I will make up my mind. What do you think?

Fashion Finds ... New Coat Silhouette for Fall/Winter 2012/13
This fall our coats will get longer and wider, hiding our real shape. Also, important feature is that the cut become more masculine and without visible fastening. However, bright colors will help to uplift the winter moods. I like this silhouette a lot, like anything that I can wear with effortlessness. What do you think about this new trend?

Tribal Sweater for Fall/Winter 2012/13 ... History of My DIY
There are two prominent fashion trends for this Fall/Winter 2012/13 season that are very suitable for again popular knits. This is Tribal and Large Flowers trends. I already shared with you my Large Flowers Sweater that I made a long time ago, so long that it became vintage, and since it made from wool, nothing happened to it and it looks as good as new. My second example is this cardigan, that I knitted from wool also a long time ago. As you can see, it is right on Tribal trend that is so popular this fall, including increasing popularity of chunky knits.
It is true that this kind of DIY knitting projects are very time consuming. When I first saw this pattern in the magazine, I was not even sure if I can do it. However, I liked it so much, that I just started doing it, without thinking how long it might take to finish. I was on the mission, I wanted to have this kind of piece.... and I did it. My persistence paid off. I enjoyed this unique cardigan for many years already, and now this kind of tribal pattern is crazy popular again.
Share with me if you have similar projects that stood the test of time!

How to Style Scarves... Parisian Edition
Long time ago (last spring) I shared with you one of my favorite ways to tie the long rectangular scarf. You can see it HERE
With fall season coming soon, I thought it would be nice to revisit this topic, especially with very cute short film on this subject from Mode Walk . It only helps that this tutorial was shot in Paris.

Tribal Trend for Fall/Winter 2012/13... Knits Included
I always loved knits for its comfy and chic feel. Modern knits are very different from our grandma sweaters, and I am very happy that knitwear is making huge comeback. Even more interesting modern knits with tribal twist. Since tribal trend is very popular this coming winter season, basic geometric shapes is perfect for knits. Here are my picks from tribal trend, knits included.

Designer Claes Iversen ... Fall/Winter 2012/13
Claes Iversen is Danish designer living in Amsterdam. His designs has a touch of extravagance and all things that I really love: straight cuts, embroideries, sheer fabrics, and a lot of layering. Even my crash for this fall season on burgundy color - he has it covered: main colors of the collection- black, bordeaux and some browns in combination with white and mint. I should not forget to mentioned his GORGEOUS long gloves. Beautiful!
Which one is your favorite?

Chunky Knits and Flowers for Fall/Winter 2012/13... History of My DIY
I made this sweater lo-o-ong time ago. With the trend of chunky knits and large flowers print this Fal/Winter 2012/13, I will be wearing this oversized sweater a lot, as soon as the cold front from Canada will push down our temperature close to 40F.
Many-many years ago, when I found this beautiful flowers pattern in the magazine, I decided to make this wool sweater, no matter what. Although, I was not sure if I will be able to finish it, because it looked very complicated. When doing knitting project like that, with colorful pattern, it does require a lot of patience and very time consuming. However, I did finish that project and now, every time when cold weather season comes, I am very happy to have this TIMELESS piece made by myself. Soon it will become vintage. The fact is, such classic elements as flowers, black color, chunky knits - never out of style, really. Only when it is in style, like this coming fall, much more people will be wearing this combination, and when fashion designers will swith to somethign else, piece like this will be even more unique.

Inspiration... Black Maxi, Pockets, Porcelain Skin and Red Lips
It is not new that floor length gowns and voluminous ball skirts become more and more popular. I have seeing a lot of these lately. However, the photo above was the first one that stopped me on my track. It made me study the image. I was trying to understand what was in it that made me drop everything I was doing at the moment and stare at it like lunatic. I could not take my eyes away from it, this is how beautiful it looked to me.
As I was analyzing this photo shot, I understood why I am so in love with this, in no particular order of importance:
- It is dramatic look of total black, including her black hair and straight hairstyle
- RED LIPS in combination with total black outfit and porcelain skin tone
- Unbelievably chic combination of beautiful taffeta full skirt from Lanvin and simple top showing some skin. I think this top with its wider shoulder straps is perfect for the skirt
- Finally, the structure of the shot. The way pavement white line on the left disappearing behind the image, showing the depth of the picture. Beautiful Chinese singer Laure Shang and nonchalant pose with her hands in the POCKETS! I believe this shot would not be the same without those pockets.
Now I have to stop talking and just let you enjoy this image. I think it is simply beautiful.

Must Have for WF 2012/13... Black Coat
The color BLACK is know for its practicality, but I do not think this is the only reason why black is always in. This color flatters the most and is never casual. Black is the color of profoundness and intensity, it suggests strength and tenacity. No wonder that the black coat is a MUST for the Fall/Winter 2012/13 and forever. I cannot imagine more practical investment piece than THE BLACK COAT. Here are some examples:

Wish List... Red from Dior, Spring/Summer 2013
There is something magical about red color from Dior. I know I had one red dress from Dior on my wish list already (it is still on my wish list) and here is anouther one. This one is from Spring/Summer 2013 collection. Both dresses kind of similar: the same contrast of sheer bottom and solid top, the same perfect tailoring and red color that is SO-O Dior! What is different in this look is solid top with peplum tailored like a piece of beautiful architecture. With its flowy sheer bottom this picture looks mesmerizing to me.
It must be something very special in this number, because I RARELY wear red as the complete outfit, but I love this one. Isn't it ironic? Maybe this is one of those thing when I like how it looks on somebody else but it would never work on me? Regardless, this one goes on my wish list.

Flowers Are Not Only for Summer Anymore ... Fashion Fall 2012/13
We live in times when many hard lines disappear. Let's take fashion, for example. We used to have hard rules on when we can wear white colors, not anymore. The same with floral design. Floral trend is not new. Yes, it is true that it became popular again after being neglected for many years, but it is not new. We had floral craze before. What new is that now floral dresses proposed for Fall/Winter Season. Important to notice that this flower trend is all about LARGE flowers. I always loved contrasts, juxtapositions, and this is exactly why I like this new trend. I think this would be great wearing something that is not expected for the season. Never boring.
