Coco Chanel was born on August 19, 1883. Chanel's perfume No19, one of my favorite, received its number because of Coco's birth date on 19th.
This black and white photo is one of my favorite from portraits of Gabrielle Chanel. Coco Chanel was classically beautiful woman who created a whole new concept of elegance and invented the look of the 20th century. The way she looks on this portrait is beautiful and modern even today. If someone would wear the outfit pictured on this image today, it would not look old fashion a bit, but very chic and elegant. Isn't it the characteristics of a great visionary?
